The Armentarola cross-country skiing centre, located just 3 km from San Cassiano, caters for cross-country skiing enthusiasts of all abilities. It boasts a well-equipped service centre complete with a ski school and ski rental. You can enjoy around 26 km of perfectly groomed trails, which wind through a picturesque winter landscape surrounded by the impressive Dolomite peaks of Conturines, Lavarella and Settsass. The trails vary in difficulty, so both beginners and experienced cross-country skiers will find something to suit them. From easy, gentle trails to more challenging routes, there is something for everyone.
Situated in the heart of the Dolomiti Superski area, Ciasa Settsass offers direct access to the Piz Sorega cable car. From there, the extensive Alta Badia ski area, with its more than 130 km of slopes, is easily accessible. The slopes cater for all abilities and provide stunning views of the Dolomites. There is a variety of runs, ranging from gentle slopes for beginners to challenging routes for professionals. The area also leads through the legendary Sellaronda, a circular tour over four Dolomite passes. Modern lifts and numerous huts guarantee a comfortable skiing experience.

There are over 80 km of clearly marked winter hiking trails leading through forests and across meadows. In winter, the frozen Lake Sompunt near San Cassiano transforms into a natural ice rink, providing the perfect setting for winter fun. The covered ice rink in Corvara offers year-round ice skating, regardless of the weather. Once you have had enough of ice skating, you can experience winter in a completely different way by going tobogganing. The “Tru dla Liösa” natural toboggan run starts at the Piz Sorega mountain station and ends in San Cassiano. With a length of 3 km, the run is great fun and ideal for the whole family. The starting point is easily accessible by taking the Piz Sorega cable car.
